Summary of Scholarship

A great physical therapist is an athlete's best friend.

Physical therapy is an important part of the healing process after an injury. A physical therapist will treat more than just sports injuries, though. They work with other types of injuries, like injuries sustained in a car accident, and also with people who suffer from debilitating conditions and diseases.

By training as a physical therapist or as a physical therapy assistant/technician, you will be able to land a job where you can alliviate people's pain, coach them back to physical fitness, and educate them on how to avoid furture injuries.

The Athletic Boosters are working with local sports shops and professional teams to provide 2 students with $4,000 scholarships for a physical therapy program. While the student need not be an athlete, preference will be given to students who participate on one of our sports teams. A strong science background is also recommended.
